Route

Short-lived and varied icefall which rarely comes into condition. La valse à trois manches is the most obvious of the three drips and is characterised by a mixed section to exit behind the curtain.

Getting there
From Turin take the motorway north towards France and exit at Aosta West/ Saint Pierre. Continue towards Courmayeur, after circa 3 km turn off right for Valsavarenche. Drive up the valley to the last bridge which crosses River Savara.
From Chamonix drive through the Mont Blanc tunnel and reach Courmayeur. Follow the main road towards Aosta and after Arvier turn off for Valsavarenche and contiue on up to the bridge. Access
Park the car after the bridge and return on foot and decend as best possible to the obvious icefall which forms in the canyon. Descent
Abseil from the tree located at the top of the icefall down to the base of the drip. Sling and maillon rapide. Gear
