End of the Flare climbs the prominent flake offwidth crack seen from the road close to Fornolosa. The first pitch is hidden in the trees and offers powerful and pumpy climbing.
Getting there
From Turin drive north along the A5 motorway, exit at San Giusto Canavese and continue west along the SS460 past Rivarolo Canavese and up into the valley past Locana to Fornolosa. Access
On the hillside above Fornolosa (NE from the village, 400m into the woods). Itinerary
P1: 15m. Climb the steep thin hands crack, with powerful and pumpy climbing. Continue rightwards until you reach a slight niche after 8m, continue past this to the obvious belay ledge at the start of the offwidth (7a+)
P2: 25m. Follow the steep and slightly scary offwidth rightwards using Friend 5 & 6. (6b+) Gear
Full trad rack.
