On 11 April 2025, Italian alpinists Roberto Parisse and Christian Tuttopetto skied the east face of Pizzo Intermesoli (2,635m) in the Gran Sasso massif, Italy. This marks the first integral descent of this face – while the initial 300m had been skied before, previous attempts had then veered right across the upper pillars.

The "Pillars Couloir" skied by Roberto Parisse and Christian Tuttopetto features approximately 900m of vertical drop; from the summit they descended the large amphitheater atop Intermesoli's east face, then passed lower through the Iacobucci Couloir between the third and fourth pillars before continuing down to Val Maone. There are two rock steps where rappels were necessary.

Last year, Parisse made the first descent of a couloir on the far left side of Intermesoli's east face, naming the run "Il Canale del Duomo". On that occasion, he didn't reach the base of the face but instead veered left at the Duomo rock band before returning to Sella dei Grilli valley.
