Extraction times of avalanche victims: companion rescue and organised rescue. The data refers to two decades (1992/93 - 2001/02 and 2002/03 - 2011/12). Note how the burial time has been reduced, while only companion rescue can be carried out within those vital 15 minutes that seem to be the maximum time limit that offers good survival chances. This underlines the importance of having and being able to use a Transceiver, Shovel and Probe.
