The Manikia Project to develop the extraordinary potential of Manikia and the surrounding villages on the island of Evia in Greece. The non-profit organisation is one of the main players in the Petzl RocTrip climbing meeting, scheduled to take place in the small Greek village from 12 to 15 May 2022.
Rock climbing as a means, as a tool, to enhance an entire territory and achieve something that goes way beyond a physical performance. This is the aim of the Manikia Project, developed by the homonymous non-profit organization that slowly but surely is developing the extraordinary potential of Manikia, the small village on the island of Evia in Greece that for generations has witnessed its inhabitants leave and look for work elsewhere. The area and the neighbouring villages are a paradise for rock climbing, trekking, mountain biking, caving and much more and the next Petzl RocTrip scheduled for May 12-15 will become an ideal moment to introduce the hidden treasures of these ancient lands.
