The 2nd International Climbing Festival will take place on Kalymnos, Greece, from 25 - 30 October 2006.
If you're in need of a some rock climbing, plenty of fun and sun seriously consider the International Climbing Festival on Kalymnos, Greece, from 25 - 30 October 2006. The five-day event, organised by the Kalymnos Tourist Board, is proving to be a good one and has already attracted some of the biggest names in this sport, including Chris Sharma, Dave Graham, Alex Huber, Steve McClure, Charlotte Durif, Antony Lamiche, Arnaud Petit, Martina Cufar, Liv Sansoz... the list is endless and in the last edition attracted more than 500 climbers from across the globe. And with over 850 routes to choose from in the brandnew guidebook, there's bound to be plenty for everyone. Although the idea of the meet is a friendly get-together, there is also a rock competition where climbers amass points for each route climbed. 6a is worth 30 points, 7a 240, 8a a staggering 2880 and 9a+... free beer for all!
