Arco Rock Legends 2013, the Awards Ceremony videos

The three videos of the Arco Rock Legends 2013 held in Arco on 06/09/2013. The protagonists are the Paraclimbers for the Climbing Ambassador by Aquafil. While the climbers of the Salewa Rock Award are Adam Ondra (winner), Alexander Megos, Steve McClure and Chris Sharma. For the La Sportiva Competition Award the athletes are Mina Markovic (winner), Angela Eiter and Jacob Schubert.

Arco Rock Legends 2013: Mina Markovic with Lorenzo Delladio

On 6 September Arco hosted the 8th Arco Rock Legends award's ceremony, introduced by Kay Rush. The Paraclimbing movement and all Paraclimbers received the prestigious Climbing Ambassador by Aquafil with the following motivation: "To the Paraclimbing athletes who through their courage, strength and passion, in life as in climbing and on the competition walls, are an example and stimulus to everyone."

The 12 jury members representing the international climbing magazines chose Adam Ondra for the Salewa Rock Award: "For the immense capacity to continually invent new challenges, to exceed them and to exalt the beauty and the meaning of climbing." The other nominees for this prize included Alexander Megos, Steve McClure and Chris Sharma, all three with cutting-edge climbs to their name. The same Jury then assigned the La Sportiva Competition Award for the 2012 competition season to Slovenia's Mina Markovic per "For the power, tenacity and sportsmanship expressed in both Lead and Boulder competitions. A great example for the entire sport of climbing." The other two nominees were the Austrians Jakob Schubert and Angela Eiter.
