Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires: sport climbing's first medals

Live streaming at 14:00 today from Buenos Aires where the first Youth Olympics Sport Climbing is taking place. The women's race was won yesterday by the Austria's Sandra Lettner, ahead of Slovenia's Vita Lukan and Laura Lammer from Austria.

The Youth Olympics are currently taking place in Buenos Aires, Argentina where sport climbing has been included for the first time ever, in the run up to its debut in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Yesterday the first medals were awarded, with Austria’s Sandra Lettner and Laura Lammer taking gold and bronze, while silver went to Slovenia’s Vita Lukan.

The men's medals are still up for grabs, with the final decisive round taking place in live steaming as of 14:00. Italy’s Filip Schenk is up against Japan’s Keita Dohi and Shuta Tanaka, China’s Yufei Pan, Bulgaria’s Petar Ivanv and France’s Sam Avezou. The formula is a combination of all three disciplines, Speed, Boulder and Lead in this order, one immediately after the other.
