The Ice Climbing World Cup 2016 gets underway tomorrow morning at 8:30 am sharp at Bozeman, USA. The 15th edition of the circuit, presented by The North Face, faced a difficult start: on 18 November an incredible hurricane devastated the artificial structure in Montana, yet despite this major setback the organizers of the famous ice climbing festival pulled off the impossible and - thanks also to the support of many climber - rebuilt the enormous wall that will host the first of four international stages.
After Bozeman (which also acts as the North American Championship), in January 2016 the circuit travels to Cheongsong in South Korea, to Saas-Fee in Switzerland and then Rabenstein in Val Passiria. In February Rabenstein will also host the World Youth Championships. The defending champions are Angelika Rainer and Maxim Tomilov (Lead) and Ekaterina Feoktistova and Nikolai Kuzovlev (Speed).
