Zardini and Brenna on top form

The Italians Luca Zardini and Cristian Brenna are, as tends to be their case, on top form and on a roll, repeating a plethora of hard routes dotted around the country.
The Italians Luca Zardini and Cristian Brenna are, as tends to be their case, on top form and on a roll, repeating a plethora of hard routes dotted around the country. At the end of the winter Zardini redpointed ‘Parole di burro’ 8b, ‘Talleban’ 8a+, and ‘Vendi la mucca’ 8b, while in the last ten days he stepped up a gear to send ‘Strelovod’ 8c at Ospo , ‘Marjetica’ 8b/b+ second go at Ospo, and‘Expedition’ 8b/b+ second go at Colmirano.

Brenna on the other hand spent three weeks off due to injury, but is now back on force. He sent the only route he had not yet redpointed at the Cubo, the powerful Maia 8b+, before on-sighting Francesca 8a+ at Mandello.

Both climbers are off on their respective Easter breaks – more news soon?

Right: Luca Zardini at Pian Schiavaneis and Cristian Brenna bouldering.
