XS Eco, last days to test the new Vibram climbing rubber
We've tried it and the results were excellent: the new Vibram XS Eco rubber for climbing shoes is impressively sticky! This is the new compound that the Italian company founded in 1937 by Vitale Bramani recently created to reduce waste in the production process, and indeed as much as 20% of the Vibram XS Eco sole is comprised of offcuts from the processing of high-performance climbing compounds. The result of this process is a climbing rubber that combines the world-famous high performance standards of Vibram climbing soles, read unparalleled grip and durability, coupled with a significant reduction in material waste.
To celebrate this new entry among its eco-sustainable compounds Vibram is offering, until the 25th of June, the possibility for those wanting to find out more to receive free customization of their climbing shoes with this new compound.
Anyone wishing to try out the new rubber is invited to register on the Vibram Testerplace platform by clicking on vibram.testerplace.com. Once the request has been submitted, experts from the Vibram Sole Factor team will offer advice and evaluate the feasibility of customization. The Vibram team will also organise pick up and delivery, free of charge. As soon as you receive your shoes and have tried them out, you will shoes have been received, worn and tested, you will then be be asked to fill in a questionnaire, providing feedback on the new Vibram compound. As mentioned, we tested the Vibram XS Eco in advance and in addition to the quality of the rubber, it’s worth pointing out the expertise of the Vibram shoemakers. The climbing shoes we sent it for resoling were really worn out, nevertheless the Vibram cobblers managed to give them a new lease of life!
