Watch Adam Ondra climbing in the Peak District with Jerry Moffatt & Ben Moon

Thanks to its proximity to the Peak District and its numerous limestone crags and gritstone outcrops, the city of Sheffield has long been the epicentre of rock climbing in the UK. Now, after Magnus Midtboe's School Room episode in the city of steel, here is another British climbing video which shouldn't be missed.

Inspired by the classic 1990's climbing film The Real Thing featuring Jerry Moffatt and Ben Moon, Adam Ondra takes to the grit and the limestone to see what it's all about. This new video features the Czech checking out wet holds on Hubble at Raven Tor, climbing some classic hard routes at Stoney Middleton and making the coveted, first-ever flash of The Ace (8B) at Stanage. Ondra made headline news back in 2011 when he nabbed Britain's first 8c onsight, but judging by his reaction, sending Moffatt's historic 8B testpiece first go a few weeks ago obviously meant a great deal to the 30-year-old.
