Wafaa Amer, climbing and freedom
Climbing, at least the type we like, is all about climbing free. But there can be no doubt that we far prefer the freedom that climbing can offer, that transcends all judgements and prejudices. Precisely as indicated by Wafaa Amer.

"I’ll never stop believing in a better world, where the freedom of every single human being will not be questioned because of skin color, gender, or culture. But since freedom comes from the choices we make everyday as individuals, we need to start this change from ourselves and through our actions.
In my life, I have had to climb over cultural boundaries before starting to climb on the rock. But it’s also thanks to my passion for this sport that I’ve been able to achieve some of the most important goals of my life. Because when I climb, I feel like I can truly express myself with no judgements and no prejudice. There is no space for such things when I’m on the rock." Wafaa Amer.
