Toby Roberts climbs Gancho Perfecto (9a+) in Margalef

British climber Toby Roberts has climbed his hardest sport climb to date, Gancho Perfecto (9a+) in Margalef, Spain.

After a two-year hiatus from climbing outdoors due to his focus on competitions, which culminated in his winning the Paris Olympics this summer, Britain's Toby Roberts finally returned to rock a few weeks ago. The 19-year-old Brit chose Margalef in Spain and, in particular, Chris Sharma's Gancho Perfecto.

Roberts had tried the route 2 years ago but dropped the last move, last week he made no mistakes. This is his hardest route to date but, given the speed of his ascent, it's clear that there is much, much more in store.
