Tito Traversa climbing Criptonite 8b at Tetto di Sarre, Valle d'Aosta, Italy

After climbing his first 8b last January - Je est un autre a Castillon in France - young Italian climber Tito Traversa has now redpointed the second route of this grade, confirming the obvious: at a mere 9 years of age, it seems as if he knows how to play this climbing game ;-)
The route in question, Criptonite, is located at the steep Tetto di Sarre in Valle d'Aosta and the redpoint came about after a failed first attempt and fall, for nth time, from the last hold on the crux section. Highly motivated by Adam Ondra's words - in our interview after his 9b first ascent of La Capella at Siurana - and also by some visiting French climbers, Traversa climbed superbly, stuck the "fatal hold" and climbed cooly to the top.
