ReBolting- maintaining climbs in Switzerland

The Rebolting association from Switzerland, dedicated to the maintenance of old climbing routes and supporting climbers in their maintenance efforts.

Old, rusty, or unsafe equipment, anchor connections made of worn-out ropes, or an overgrown route – there are many reasons to maintain a climbing route on the rock to ensure climbers' safety. But who ensures that routes are maintained, the equipment is properly replaced, and the character of the route is preserved? And who funds it all?

The Rebolting association from Switzerland, dedicated to the maintenance of old climbing routes and supporting climbers in their maintenance efforts. Members of the association provide insight into maintenance work in the Engelhörner climbing area and at Gemschiflueh "Chästeleit", while Michel Piola and Daniel Anker, who established the route "Le Chant du Cygne" on the north face of the Eiger in 1991,discuss a possible maintenance of this historic route.
