At Rocklands in South Africa the American climber Paul Robinson has made the first repeat of King of Limbs, suggesting 8B/B+ instead of 8B+/C.

It's common knowledge that South Africa is the new promised land of climbing, in particular Rocklands which in recent years has transformed into a true new bouldering mecca. Paul Robinson knows this well and in his diary blog he wrote "The climbing here in South Africa is like a dream come true" adding "With every step we all seem to take further into the unknown more and more rock is popping up in every direction and the list of projects for everyone continues to grow! I have been fortunate enough to put up a couple of really cool new lines and am beyond psyched for the insane amount of new projects we have stumbled across while hiking around!"

Robinson already knew about a different sort of project, one he had left unfinished two years ago during a previous visit and which in the meantime had been freed by British boulder Micky Page at 8B+/C. During two brief stints Robinson managed to repeat the "really nice line" called King of Limbs and after his ascent he commented "It felt good to finish the line off and in such a quick manner as well."

As Alexandra Kahn reports, Robinson feels "King" warrants a slight downgrade to 8B/8B+. But this, we're certain, takes nothing away from this superb problem.
