Jacopo Larcher: we must remain united

The appeal by South Tyrolean climber Jacopo Larcher to remain united during these times made difficult by the Coronavirus emergency. Because 'the world does not need even more anger, violence and hate now, but instead love and solidarity.'

I always try to be positive and see the good side of things, but these days I can't hide my concern.

Concern not (only) for those people affected by the virus and for the world economy, but above all for us human beings. We are about to fail.

Every day I hear of violence, complaints, frustration, anger and hate ... precisely during a period of time during which we should try to remain united (even if at a distance), help each other and reflect. Yes, reflect!

Never as in these days have we had so much time to think and to be creative. Let us use this "opportunity" to demonstrate our intelligence and solidarity. Let us not allow for violence, hate and ignorance.

History has taught us the consequences of these, this we must never forget!

Please... let’s help each other, reflect, stay positive and respect everyone else. The world does not need even more anger, violence and hate now, but instead love and solidarity.
