Hotel Supramonte, the classic multi-pitch testpiece in Sardina renowned as one of the most famous and beautiful climbs in the world, continues to exert its immense attraction. Rolando Larcher and Roberto Vigiani’s masterpiece established above the wild Golda di Gorropu two decades ago and then freed in 2000 by Pietro Dal Prà, has transformed into one of the world's reference points for difficult multi-pitches and in the last few weeks this circa 400m 8b has been repeated at least 3 times.

The first to succeed, on 27 April, was Slovak Jozef Kristoffy who succeeded after falling once on the crux pitch and after an attempt five days earlier. His comment, "one of the most beautiful routes I've ever climbed” confirms the quality of the line opened ground-up by Larcher and Vigiani.

Rotpunkts also came from the Germans Lara Neumeier and Christoph Hanke who both climbed led all the pitches. After 4 days of "work" Neumeier freed all the pitches first go, while Hanke’sfree ascent two took two days and they slept, as per tradition, in the niche that gave the climb its name. Last interesting detail: while Hanke is 24, Neumeier was born... in 1998, the same year the route was established.
