Giorgia Tesio repeating Noi, the 8b+ freed by Andrea Gallo at Andonno
Alberto Orlandi
Giorgia Tesio has repeated Noi, the historic sports at Andonno climb freed by Andrea Gallo graded 8b+. The 15-year-old climber from Mondovì is known above all for her hard bouldering (8A+ at Varazze, European Bouldering Champion in her category) and the speed with which she sent the climb is startling. It’s obviously too early to think about the logical next step Noia, the 8c+ freed by Severino Scassa in 1993, but it’s clear that a second female ascent - after Josune Bereziartu back in 2001 - and the first Italian female ascent would be outstanding news.
