Alex Chabot surfaces Abysse 9a

Alex Chabot, who in mid-July became French Champion for the sixth year running, has just freed Abysse 9a at Deversé at the Gorges du Loup in SE France.
Alex Chabot, who in mid-July became French Champion for the sixth year running, has just freed "Abyss" at Deversé in SE France.

The route is 100% natural and follows a long tufa column which overhangs up to 70° and, according to the 25 year old Frenchman, weighs in at 9a.
