The mysterious cave on Mt. Penteli overlooking Athens, served as the hideout of notorious arch-bandit Davelis in the 19th century. Today the ancient marble quarries host some of the most aesthetic and special lines in Greece.
From the main square of Palea Penteli suburb take the road leading to the monastery of Agios Panteleimonas. Leaving the last houses, continue for 1,1km until crossroad where the road to the right is ascending towards an old military base Follow it for 2km until you reach another road-split with a small road shrine. Turn right and continue for 800m leaving behind two dirt roads to your right and turn right on the third one. The road is not in very good condition but it is still just about accessible by non 4x4s. Reach the crag after 900m.
