The panoramic new crag is located immediately next to the Lo Dard waterfall and was bolted by Massimo Bal and Hervé Vevey. The rock quality is excellent and the routes provide new-school climbing. Currently the crag boasts 13 routes, plus a 4-pitch, 6c max multi-pitch. The two competition routes are Mosca Bianca for women, with difficulties in the region of 8a, and Acqualung for men. Difficulty 8b? To be confirmed.
As for the crag Barliard: exit the A5 motorway at Aosta Est and head towards Aosta Centro. Take the SS26 for about 6km, passing two traffic lights, a roundabout, a traffic light and three roundabouts. At third take the first exit on the right heading towards Gran San Bernardo / Martigny (SS27). After 3.7km turn right towards Valpelline / Bionaz. Drive through Valtellina and continue on to Ollomont. Continue for about 5.5km. After driving through the village of Ollomont reach Vaud, then continue for 800m to the hamlet Barliard on the left, where you can park.

The best time of year is certainly summer, as the proximity to the waterfall ensures a cool ambient even on the hottest days.
