Pierra Menta 2024, all is set for the 38th edition powered by Karpos
Everything is ready for the 38th edition of the Pierra Menta. More than 200 two-person teams are set to compete from March 13 to 16, 2024, on the slopes of Arêches-Beaufort, in the heart of Savoy in France.
One of the most important sporting and media events in the world of ski mountaineering, the Pierra Menta is the “Tour de France of ski mountaineering.” It embodies all the authentic values that characterize the spirit not only of ski mountaineering but also of Karpos, which, not by chance, has built a strong ongoing partnership with the event. Effort, enthusiasm, passion, extreme conditions — a mixture of emotions makes every climb and every descent of the Pierra Menta unique, from the passage over the ridges of the Grand Mont, accompanied by the cheering of thousands of fans who ascend to the summit, to the adrenaline of the climb toward the Col de la Forclaz.
“The partnership between Karpos and Pierra Menta is based on shared ideals and principles. This event is a sporting monument where the world’s strongest ski mountaineers — but not only — compete. The setting of the Pierra Menta also features in the summer in the world of cycling, where MVC Group has always played a prominent role, with the Castelli and Sportful brands supporting the most successful teams. It’s clear how collaborating with the Pierra Menta is part of our DNA as athletes, the natural continuation of a tradition in the world of ski mountaineering — a discipline in which Karpos leads the market, equipping some of the most successful athletes in the world,” said Alessio Cremonese, CEO of MVC Group.
A distance of 90 kilometers, with 10,000 meters of elevation change, all in a high mountain environment. The Pierra Menta is a true journey, and fans can experience the excitement by following along on the official social channels of the event and Karpos, main partner of the Pierra Menta.
THE KARPOS COMMENTARY
Karpos will follow and narrate the race on its social channels, with a focus on the athletes from the sports section of the Italian Army (above all, the team of Michele Boscacci and Matteo Eydallin; Robert Antonioli and Davide Magnini; Giulia Murada and Alba De Silvestro) and on the home champions Xavier Gachet and Laurie Renoton, who will try to add their own names to the list of winners of this iconic race.
