The Adamello Mountain Guides boast over one century of history; their presence in the Valley is documented since the mid 1800’s. These pioneers greatly contributed to the development of mountaineering and tourism in the region and are represented these days by the Mountain Guides of the ITALIAN SCHOOL OF MOUNTAINEERING, SKI MOUNTAINEERING, CLIMBING VALLECAMONICA - ADAMELLO. The School distinguishes itself for the quality and variety of its programmes that include instruction and guiding in traditional and in more recent activities. As well as daily outings, courses at all levels are organised to teach the techniques and safety features of these activities. The experience and proficiency built up over the years are the reasons for the success of our initiatives.
We are specialised in organising tailor made mountaineering, climbing, ski touring courses and trips for individuals or small groups. Generally we do not have preset dates for our courses or trips because we work around the needs and technical level of our clients. The area where our courses and most of our activities are held is called "Valle Camonica", a beautiful valley in the Central Italian Alps, 2 hours drive North-East of Milan. The nearest airports are Verona or Bergamo. The Valley is a well known for its rock climbing with many natural climbing walls, with something for every level, from beginners to experienced climbers. The Northern part of the valley that borders with Switzerland, is the home to Italy's largest glaciers (Adamello and Ortles-Cevedale) and is famous for its mountaineering, ski touring and ice climbing itineraries.
