The anti-panic handle makes it especially useful for learning how to lower a climber. The ideal device for top rope belaying, ASSIST + mode makes it easier to take up slack. - For belaying both lead and top rope climbers
- The anti-panic handle is designed to assist users learning how to lower a climber: if the user pulls too hard on the handle,
the anti-panic function engages to stop the rope from feeding through the device
- Optimized for learning how to top rope belay, ASSIST + mode pre-activates the blocking action of the cam, making it easier
to take up slack and helping limit the risk of the rope feeding through the device in the event that the user accidentally
releases the brake strand
- Cam-assisted blocking for a more comfortable belay: when the climber falls or weights the system, the rope tightens due to
the action of the brake-side hand; the cam pivots to pinch and block the rope - Easy to use:
- Easy to install the rope with diagrams engraved on the belay device
- Feeding slack and catching falls are accomplished using techniques standard to all Petzl belay devices, always keeping a
hand on the brake side of the rope
- Cam-assisted blocking offers leeway for the brake-side hand position, regardless of the angle between the climber side and
brake side of the rope
