Video: Adam Ondra climbs Change 9b+ at Flatanger
The video of Adam Ondra and the first ascent of his route Change 9b+ in the Hanshellern - Flatanger cave in Norway.
Adam Ondra lost in a sea of granite on his route Change 9b+, Hanshellern - Flatanger in Norway
On 4 October 2012 Adam Ondra required 29 minutes to free Change, the superb route he discovered and bolted in Norway's massively overhanging Hanshellern cave (also known as Flatanger). Almost a half-hour battle, intense and raw, which give birth to a moment that after five weeks of frustrating attempts marked a fundamental stage in the 18-year-old's climbing career. Change - the name couldn't fit better - graded 9b+ and undoubtedly one of the hardest climbs in the world with a crux section that according to Ondra "seems to have been naturally made specifically for me."
